Cael Sanderson, now entering his second year at the helm of the Penn State Nittany Lions has high expectations. After leaving Ames, Iowa, and his alma mater at Iowa State for the fertile recruiting grounds of the keystone state, Cael looks to build a dynasty in Happy Valley.
Sanderson found success as a wrestler and coach as a Cyclone zat Iowa State, under coach Bobby Douglas, Cael compiled an unparalleled undefeated 159 and zero record on his way to four straight NCAA titles. He then followed his dreams of Olympic Gold to Athens where he defeated South Korea's Moon Eui Jae to win the gold. Sanderson then decided to quit competing and accept the challenge as a coach at Iowa State where he managed to qualify every one of his wrestlers for the national tournament, place second as a team and win a coach of the year award.
