REALLY? - No Wrestling coverage

 Outside my hotel room door laid a copy of USA today paper. As I headed to breakfast I quickly looked to see what kid of headlines the NCAA wrestling championships would get. I was not surprised to see all basketball headline in big bold print but was still a little disappointed to not see wrestling on the front of the sports page in a prominent place with a big or semi big headline.

 What did surprise me was that after going through the whole sports section 3 times I still did not see a single word about the NCAA wrestling championships. Now I admit that I can miss things that are right in front of my face so maybe I missed it but this is the NCAA Championships. How can USA today miss this. How can the NCAA's not make sure that they get covered in such a prominent newspaper.

  The NCAA wrestling championships are awesome and the NCAA always does a fantastic job running them. Maybe they did try and USA today refused to cover them on the first day. All I know is that USA today lost a lot of respect from me and I hope they decide to give some great coverage for the rest of the tournament in the Monday edition.

Flowrestling is excited to announce the 2010-2011 Flonationals' Majors Series. Due to massive requests by the community, this years series has been expanded from 6 to 21 tournaments! This gives more High School Wrestlers an opportunity to prove themselves at the Premier post-season National Tournament, Flonationals.

Below is a list of the toughest tournaments in the country. Tournament strength at each Major is tough enough to produce a champion worthy of a bye to the second day of the Flonationals Open. Flowrestling will be working with these tournaments to provide excellent coverage. The Majors are also a means of seeding for the 2011 Flonationals Open that will be held at Walsh Jesuit on April 1st-3rd.


The champion at each weight class in each "Major" will receive a golden ticket. The golden ticket is a bye to the second day of competition at Flonationals. Without a golden ticket or a high position on a selected pole, a wrestler must compete in the "Big Mini" on first day of competition.

The wrestlers in the Big Mini will wrestle to the top 8 positions and then be placed in the second day's bracket with the Majors' Champions and nationally ranked wrestlers.

Flowrestling will provide coverage of the finals at every Major. Live coverage of the event will also take place for select tournaments.
