The Pitt Panthers went into Lehigh ranked #18 and were up against #6 in their house. This didn't matter as Pitt came away with wins at the first 5 weights and snuck in one more in the second half of the dual to come away with the win. The dual meet essentially came down to the 197lbs match between #7 Matt Wilps of Pitt and #9 Joe Kennedy of Lehigh. Kennedy won the match and put Pitt up 18-10 which put the dual meet out of reach, a fall by Zach Rey at heavyweight made the final 18-16.
